ABOUT THIS IMAGE

Dunnottar Castle is one of Scotland’s most iconic castle ruins. Located near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire this medieval fortress is perched 50 metres above the sea and is surrounded by steep cliffs nearly all the way around. This photo was taken not long after sunrise looking down over a flock of birds toward the majestic castle ruins.
