Forth Rail Reds

ABOUT THIS IMAGE

The Forth Rail Bridge is an iconic structure in any light, but this magnificent structure really comes alive on a still, clear evening. In this long exposure shot, taken at dusk, the bridges mirror in the foreground and create a peaceful scene as the strong shapes of the rail bridge carries the viewer off into the distant horizon. This image was taken in 2012 when the bridge lights illuminated the entire bridge structure. Using some creative license I decided to deepen the red colours and bring an illustrative feel to this particular image.
