ABOUT THIS IMAGE

On an island renowned for its iconic pines, there’s one exemplary tree at point hunter that stands apart, and has kept a watchful eye over Emily Bay for centuries.

This determined tree is simply referred to as ‘Lone Pine’and is estimated to be perhaps over 600 years old. In fact it is so old that there is every possibility it has presided over each of Norfolk’s settlements, observing every high and every low, and witnessing every boom and every bust. The Lone Pine elegantly arches itself out from the headland where it remains resolute and unwavering in it’s gaurdianship of Emily Bay.
